FAQ’s
You've got questions. We've got answers.
-
The most obvious signs that you need septic pumping services are sewage odors near your drains or yard, slow drains throughout the house, gurgling sounds after flushing, or any fluid pooling near your tank or drainfield. If you're noticing any of these, don't wait. What starts as a minor issue can turn into a costly repair quickly. When in doubt, give us a call and we'll help you figure out if something needs attention.
-
Most residential tanks need septic cleaning and pumping every 2 to 4 years. It depends on the size of your tank, the number of people in your household, and how the system gets used day to day. If you can't remember the last time it was serviced, it's probably time.
-
Sometimes. A foul odor from a single drain can be a plumbing issue. But if the smell is coming from multiple fixtures, or you notice it outside near the tank area, that points to the septic system. Either way it's worth looking into sooner rather than later.
-
Look for a company that's licensed, experienced, and willing to explain what they find before recommending work. Be cautious of anyone who insists you need a full pump-out without taking a look first. A good septic company diagnoses the problem, tells you what's actually going on, and lets you make an informed decision.

Septic pumping and cleaning are often used interchangeably, but there is a difference worth knowing. Pumping removes the liquid and solids from your tank. A full cleaning goes further, clearing out the remaining sludge and residue that pumping alone doesn't always catch. We also clean your effluent filter as part of every service visit, which is one of the most overlooked parts of routine septic maintenance. If your filter is clogged, your system will back up regardless of how recently the tank was pumped.
